07/13/2026 • With the official groundbreaking ceremony, SEW‑EURODRIVE has launched the construction of a new Drive Technology Center in St. Florian. The site will serve as a competence center for industrial gear units, service, automation, and technical training, further strengthening customer proximity and service excellence in Central Austria.
SEW‑EURODRIVE has reached an important milestone in its continued development in Austria with the official groundbreaking ceremony for its new Drive Technology Center in St. Florian.
The new facility will become a central hub for customers, partners, and employees, strengthening the company’s capabilities in industrial gear units, service, automation, and technical support. At the same time, it will provide an ideal environment for expanding expertise and delivering even more comprehensive support to customers across a wide range of industries.
The groundbreaking ceremony was celebrated together with project partners Architektur Klinglmüller and HABAU Group, as well as numerous guests from business, politics, and the region. Among the attendees were Mayor Bernd Schützeneder, representatives of the municipality of Asten, and regional partners such as biz-up and Powerregion Enns-Steyr.
By investing in this new location, SEW‑EURODRIVE is sending a clear signal for long-term growth and sustainable development in Austria. The Drive Technology Center will provide modern infrastructure for service operations, technical applications, training activities, and knowledge transfer, further enhancing both customer support and technological expertise.
The new center will play a key role in bringing innovative solutions closer to customers and supporting them throughout the entire lifecycle of their drive technology systems – from planning and commissioning to maintenance, service, and modernization.
